Subscribing to TCR

  1. What is  The Concord Review?

    The Concord Review is a quarterly journal of eleven history essays by outstanding secondary students.  TCR is the only quarterly journal in the world to publish the academic history research papers of secondary students. We offer it in two formats, eBook, and print.

  2. How often will I receive my copy of The Concord Review?
    Four times each year.  Fall (September), Winter (December), Spring (March), Summer (June). If you subscribed after the start of a publication month, your subscription will start with the next issue. (E.g., If you subscribe in December, your first issue will be the Spring issue.) You can order back issues from our Bookstore.

  3. Can I get it in printed form?

    Yes, choose "Subscription - Print Edition" when you subscribe.


  4. Can I get it in electronic form?
    Yes, choose "Subscription - Electronic Edition" when you subscribe.


  5. When do the issues come out?

  6. How do I Renew my CURRENT subscription?

  8. How do I change information in my profile (email address, name, mailing address, misspellings, etc.). Login, then click your name at the top of any page, then you can edit your information the Profile tab.


  9. I need an invoice in order to pay.
    Follow these instructions (click here).

  10. Can I use my PayPal account?

    Yes. When you complete the application you will be directed to Paypal where you can pay with your Paypal account or by credit card.

  11. Can I pay by Credit Card?
    Yes. When you complete the application you will be directed to Paypal where you can pay by credit card.  Look for the "Pay with a debit or Credit Card" link on the lower right at the Paypal site. 

  12. Can I pay by check?
    Yes.  Complete the application at the membership page and check the box "I want to pay by check".  When you have completed the application, go to "My Profile" by clicking your name at the top of the page.  Then click the "Invoices and payments" tab.  Print your invoice and send it with your check to

  13. Why am I not receiving my subscription?
    • The journal ships four times each year.  Fall (September), Winter (December), Spring (March), Summer (June).  If you subscribed after an issue was published, your subscription will start with the next issue.  You can order back issues from our Bookstore.
    • If you are an Electronic Edition subscriber, please make sure your email address is current and correct in My Profile (click your name at the top right of any page).  We notify subscribers of new issues via email only.  Make sure you are logged in by clicking "Log in" at the top of any page. You can access your copy from the download page at The Concord Review > Download eBook
    • If you are an Print Edition subscriber, please make sure your mailing address is current and correct in My Profile (click your name at the top right of any page).  Also make sure your email address is correct.  We notify subscribers of new issues via email only.
    • If you are a Newsletter member, you will receive our email newsletter and other announcements, but are not a journal subscriber. To receive the journal please "Change membership level" as described below.

  14. I want to change my subscription (e.g., from Electronic to Print, US to International, or Newsletter to Subscriber).
    To change your membership type, Login, click your name at the top of any page, then click "Change Membership Level" in the Profile tab then choose the subscription type you prefer. 

  15. The address on my print subscription is wrong
    You can correct your address in your profile. Login, then click your name at the top of any page, then you can edit your information the Profile tab.

  16. I can't login to TCR.org.

    You should have received an email with logon and password information.  If not, please email us using the link below.

  17. I live in Singapore and am having trouble paying with Paypal.
    Sadly, PayPal has a policy which limits our ability to receive electronic payments from Singapore. Check payment is the only option for persons in Singapore. We regret the inconvenience. 

  18. I don't live in Singapore, but I am having trouble paying.
    Please check that your browser is up to date (click here).

  19. How do I cancel my subscription?
    Your subscription does not auto-renew. At the end of the subscription period, you will receive a few emails about renewal, but they stop 2 weeks after the end of your subscription. No action is necessary to stop your subscription or the emails.

  20. How do I stop the emails asking if I want to renew?
